Behind the solid wooden walls at Buer restaurant there has always been buzzing with activity.

Originally a barn, the building is now a venue for serving gourmet food in a down to earth atmosphere where everyone can feel welcome and relaxed.

With its unique flavours Buer is now making its mark as an attractive food destination.

Concept

Buer serves food inspired by the authentic Nordic Cuisine, with an emphasis on creating food dishes using the best local seasonal ingredients. The restaurant offers lunch plates during the day and every evening  a 3-course menu with a paired wine package. Here you can enjoy exquisite flavours whether you are dressed for mountain hiking or for a party.

Our chefs

Erlend Stueland has returned to Odda after having worked at the renowned Michelin restaurant Bare in Bergen. He is now the head chef at Buer, and with him on his team he has Hans Almeland Seim, also with previous experience from Bare restaurant. They are both quality conscious and ambitious.

The food philosophy surrounding the Nordic cuisine is a menu built on seasonal local produce found in nature – maintaining a high quality throughout. With a unique location and closeness to the fjords, mountains, forests, and grazing fields the produce is always freshly harvested.
